Trailblazing around UHPS

Trailblazing is hard work!
We left the safety of our classroom to blaze a trail through bush and jungle. Here we are pointing to our blaze (sign) we left so others could follow.
Here Toby and others are battling the huge plants and imaginary vines to make a path for us to walk on
The way is long and we move slowly, we must keep together.
Finally rest in the shade of Jungle trees, time for a drink water and think about our next move.
This is our blaze. The zebra represents our new mat. Its eyes are number 8 and eyebrows are the one. The plant on its back shows we have plants. The ears and sharp nose is an arrow shape to point the way.
We had to climb steep hills.

Walking safely

Walking with a partner we learnt how to walk safely on a footpath, we have to remember to keep to the house side of the footpath, not the road side.

Constable Bluemel shows us how to cross the road safely. Ask us about it!
There are special concrete places where it is safe to cross the road. We learnt to stop, look and listen for traffic. It was fun and we learnt about 'sneaky drive ways.' They are driveways where you can't see if cars are coming.

Trailblazers Beach Trip

....Swimming the perfect way to cool off.

Swimming in the "pushy" waves was the best.

Watch out for the foaming white waves

Jumping up the (leg) rungs of the Team ladder.
Spending time with Mum and eating lunch together was great.
Mum spent the whole day with me.
"We are Tumble weeds".
Almost to the top, "climbing like a Monkey".

Best friends forever
Crocodile sand sculpture was easy to build with others helping.
Lolly scramble was a scramble.

'Cultural Identity' Bags

All these "things" help me to be me.
